Rev. Ceciliah Igweta Appointed Abbot of the Foundation

The Missional Wisdom Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Reverend Ceciliah Igweta  as Abbot of the Foundation.  In this role, Ceciliah will be responsible for the spiritual care, missional guidance and accountability of the network of new monastic communities administered by the Missional Wisdom Foundation.  She will also be responsible for the nurture and leadership of the People of New Day missional micro-churches administered by the Foundation.

By combining the leadership and nurture of the Epworth Project and the People of  New Day into a single Abbot role, the Foundation is acknowledging the new monastic nature of both types of community.  Both types of community utilize a Rule of Life as an organizing and guiding principle, living into Christian worship and service through prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.

Rev. Igweta holds a Bachelor of Theology from Kenya Methodist University and a Masters in Theological Studies from SMU Perkins School of Theology. Ceciliah is an ordained Reverend with the Methodist Church in Kenya . She has served in the pastoral ministry for more than seven years.
