Pacific Northwest Cohort
Pacific Northwest Cohort
A couple of weeks ago, the Pacific Northwest Cohort of Missional Wisdom Foundation's Launch & Lead program got together for a Day Apart. It was a time of reflection on where the group is and where they have been; a time of considering how they will go forward together, and continuing to co-create this community of learning, experimentation, connection, and practice. There are so many beautiful things emerging because of this cohort, so many expressions and appearances of the beloved community. We give thanks for the big movements and the small moments where the Spirit is showing up.
Below is a portion of the blessings offered in one participant's new community space. This part of the blessing was inspired by the calling of the directions and the medicine wheel, and the qualities associated with each direction:
We turn to the East where the sun rises, where new things are born, and we take in all the images on the east wall. We offer blessings and prayers for these new things to be born in this space...
We turn to the South, where the midday sun streams through, lighting the whole space, the direction that brings abundance. We offer blessings and prayers for what we hope will be in abundance in this space...
We now turn to the North, where communion with the Spirit and complete understanding are found. We take in the images and the kitchen and we offer blessings and prayers for these places of communion and understanding we hope will fill this space...
We turn to the West, where the sun sets and remember we are all setting into our creator. We take in the images and the wisdom in the books we see and we offer blessings and offer these prayers for what needs to be let go of or declared in this space...
We now turn toward the center, the place of unity and community, the present moment. We offer prayers and blessings for relationships that will grow here in this space...
Praise the Lord for this good work being done!
