— Philippians 2:5–7

Module Two: The Mind of Christ

In preparation for this week's material, please read chapters 3 in Larry Duggins’s Simple Harmony. In addition, consider the following:

Discussion Questions:

  • Paul asks the Church of Philippi to reject ambition and conceit in order to look to the needs of others. What might be getting in your way of serving others? Does the world urge you to think this way?

  • In using the image of pouring out and filling up, what would you be pouring out and what would you want to fill up with? At this time in your life, are you full or empty? Explain.

  • What are some examples of ways you refill?
