“Belonging so fully to yourself that you’re willing to stand alone is wilderness—an untamed, unpredictable place of solitude and searching. It is a place as dangerous as it is breathtaking, a place as sought after as it is feared.”
True Belonging sounds like a movie title. One with a geriatric, near-mute protagonist whose face is as gnarled as a desert cedar and a sunny child or hapless dog. During the course of the ninety minute story, the hardened cynic is forced to rediscover the joy of life through a series of unlikely yet redeeming situations.
What is on the other side of knowing? Jesus went into the wilderness, Joseph was thrown into a pit, Moses wandered the desert and what did they find? What do you find when you wander into the wilderness?
